Maya Lemberg, MA, NCC, LPC
Igniting the Warrior Within:
A Boundaries and Assertiveness Training
Do you often find yourself drained by encounters with others, not knowing how to say no, taken advantage of and holding resentments because of it?
In this workshop, we will give you basic tools of understanding and respecting your personal boundaries, how to stand in your power, how to embrace your no, celebrate your yes, and communicate your boundaries and needs.
Maya's mission is to help people feel at home within their skin. As a psychotherapist, yogi, dancer, and ceremonial facilitator, she is dedicated to guiding others on their road to authenticity, integrating mind, heart, body and spirituality in her approach to wellness. She specializes in body-focused therapy, mindfulness, expressive-arts therapy, ritual, yoga, movement practices, and women's spirituality. She is grateful to facilitate experiences that bring people into intimacy with their hearts and bodies, paving way for deeper connections with each other and with the present moment. Maya holds her Master's in Counseling Psychology, is a licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor with her private practice, Emerge Psychotherapy and Healing, in Atlanta, GA.
Kundalini Yoga & Meditation
Class will contain one or more Kriya (exercise and meditation sets), using asanas (postures), mudras, pranayama (breathing techniques), mantra and meditation. The practice of Kundalini Yoga balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system, and enables us to harness the energy of the mind and the emotions. Kundalini Yoga is often called the Yoga of Awareness because it quickly helps us to connect with our deeper self.
Yin/Yang Yoga and live music with Christina Law - Yoga Deck
Slow down through Yin Yoga postures(3-5min passive holds) and enjoy Christina's soothing singing and guitar playing. We transition slowly from this inner place into movement to bring what we have gathered inside into our lives.
Krishna and Gerson Kirtan:
Spreading Light through the Sacred Sounds of Music. Bringing devotional connection through kirtan & songs in a variety of languages including Sanskrit, English, Portuguese, Hebrew, and Spanish.+
Drumming with Steve Atwood- teaching West African polyphonic rhythms to all skill levels. Please bring a djembe and a chair.
Samantha Stokes-Sound Healing tent
As I sit down in front of the instruments, I take a deep breath in and fill myself with life force. I feel myself inspired by the people in front of me and I play for the energies present. I dig my roots in and connect to mother Earth. I am humbled alongside you as we go on this sonic journey together. Along the way, you find yourself relaxing and releasing. You feel a natural surrender with a sweet touch of grace. You’ll feel safe to let go and settle into ease-full breathing, allowing your body to fully relax and assume its role as a self-healing organism. Our body has wisdom like we can’t imagine. Let’s allow it to rest so it can show us its healing magic. Let the sound be a healing balm to your Soul.
Sit with the inner bliss cultivated by this sacred sound bath. I will serenade you with the many names for the divine, God, Goddess, Source, Love. Many languages come through, some made purely of light.
We root back down together and allow our every cell to dance with joy for these opportunities to come home to ourselves.
My tools are crystal singing bowls, (pure quartz and alchemy), Tibetan singing bowls, tingsha chimes, buffalo skin drum, handcrafted didgeridoo, rattles and shakers, and a unity harp.
Massiel Ocampo will be in the healing tent and sound healing dome.
She is a Reiki and hypnotherapy practitioner at The Herb and Healing center in Holly Springs.
You will find her facilitating Grief healing workshops and Women gatherings too.
She enjoys performing ceremony for groups and individuals whom strive to celebrate themselves and loved ones.
Massiel loves incorporating sound healing, eft, tarot reading, meditation, and breathwork into her sessions. Her goal is to bring authentic healing to The Dancing Tree Festival of 2019!
Tiffany Brown: Field practices
Laughter Yoga is an innovative way to promote health and disease prevention. Laughter Yoga uses intentional laughter as a form of physical exercise to enhance health and wellbeing. Almost anyone can laugh heartily and achieve the health benefits of laughter without relying on jokes, humor or comedy. This concept is based on scientific knowledge that the body cannot distinguish between genuine and self-initiated laughter - so whether you are laughing at something funny or you are having fun choosing to laugh, both generate physiological and psychological health benefits.
During a Laughter Yoga session, participants initiate laughter as exercise in a group setting, and through making eye contact and enacting a sense of playfulness, self-initiated intentional laughter soon becomes genuine and contagious.
Laughter Yoga is not postural yoga and requires limited physical ability, and no special exercise clothing or equipment. All that is needed is a willingness to choose to laugh. This practice is called Laughter Yoga because laughter exercises are interspersed with deep yogic breathing and gentle stretches.
Blue Spirit Wheel-: Based out of Atlanta, GA, Blue Spirit Wheel was manifested in 2012 by Ian Boccio and Stephanie Kohler, for the purpose of exploring new ideas in chant music and facilitating deep experiences of Divine Consciousness with spiritual communities around the US. Using the fundamental rhythms and vibrations contained within the Sanskrit language, the band incorporates a wide variety of instruments and musical paradigms to create soundscapes that draw the listener info a deep state of meditative expansion. The audience is invited to participate by chanting simple mantras along with the music, or interact with the sounds through dance and movement. In addition to their many years of musical and artistic experience, the chant leaders in Blue Spirit Wheel draw on their backgrounds in yoga practice for guidance: Ian is a dedicated mantra yogi who regularly leads weekend workshops throughout the US, while Stephanie teaches hatha yoga internationally through the Garrison Institute.
Since its inception, Blue Spirit Wheel has been in a constant state of expression and creation. The band has released four albums, Ādi in 2012, Darkness To Light in 2013, Kailāsa in 2014, and Planetary Alignment in 2016. Successful tours covering most of the U.S. have brought a national awareness of Blue Spirit Wheel’s unique sound vibrations, and the band is committed to continuing with an extensive tour schedule into the future. Blue Spirit Wheel has also begun moving into the circuit of high vibration festivals, with appearances at Bhakti Fest Midwest, the Color Festivals in Atlanta and Charlotte, The Lovelight Festival, and Floyd Yoga Jam. Ian and Stephanie are both founders and organizers of the ChantLanta Sacred Music Festival, now in its 9th year, and Blue Spirit Wheel has regularly performed in support of ChantLanta’s charity mission.

With Luke Dilbeck
-Our story starts where all good stories do -- on a front porch in the Appalachian hollers. We grew up listening to our family members and neighbors pass down what we like to call "mountain knowledge," which included generations of remedies and practicalities distinct to our region.
At Folk Apothics, we aren't just preserving that wisdom -- we're preserving a way of life. Our herbs, salves, and medicinals are all the product of one idea:
The mountains have everything we need to thrive. That's why all of our products use ingredients that are
either hand gathered or organically farmed with tried-a nd-true methods that locals have used for years.
We look forward to sharing some mountain wisdom with you at this year's Dancing Tree.
Join us on the group plant walk as we explore the unique Flora and ecosystem that is Heartwood.
